Year 11 Exam Preparation Evening

A reminder that this Thursday, 16th October, is our Year 11 Exam Preparation Evening starting at 6pm. This event is designed to help students feel confident and ready for their exams.

We’ll be sharing:

  • Key revision strategies
  • Tips for managing stress and staying motivated
  • Information on exam timetables and expectations
  • Support available from school and beyond

Parents and carers will also gain valuable insight into how they can support their child through this important time.

Parking Reminder

Please can we remind parents to be considerate of neighbours and pedestrians when dropping off or picking up from school. The area gets very busy at the start and end of the school day, and we need to ensure that our students are safe when crossing the road.

Please help us by parking in designated parking bays, using the local pay and display car parks or dropping off/picking up away from the school. We ask that you are considerate of our neighbours who may be attempting to park at their homes and do not park or wait in permit parking zones. We do have regular visits from traffic wardens who issue parking tickets.

Olive Branch Collection 20-24th October

Year 12 are organising a collection for the Olive Branch Harvest Appeal in the last week of this half-term. They are particularly asking for the following items:

  • Pasta
  • Tinned tomatoes
  • Biscuits
  • Tinned meat meals
  • Pasta sauce
  • Tinned pasta
  • Tinned soup
  • Tinned fish
  • Cereal
  • Tinned puddings
  • Baked beans
  • Rice
  • Tea and coffee
  • Tinned fruit

Please ask your child to bring any donations to Main Reception or Sixth Form reception by lunchtime on Friday 24th October.

‘EBSNA’ – Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance

A Free 45-minute Webinar for Parents and Carers

Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance, or EBSNA for short, refers to young people who struggle to attend school because of a range of emotional factors.

These can include struggling with issues like low mood, anxiety and loneliness. The impact of EBSNA can range from the young person experiencing an occasional reluctance to attend school, to complete non-attendance. It can start suddenly or develop gradually over time.

We’ve developed this free webinar for families to explore EBSNA as a complex issue and will give guidance on how digital mental health support can help.
